By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store billing.

• Subscription prices are displayed before purchase.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

• You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings.

• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription unless required by law.

• Where applicable (e.g., EU, UK, Australia, NZ), you may have statutory rights to a refund or cooling-off period.

4. Consumer Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local consumer laws, including the right to withdraw from or cancel a subscription within a statutory period. These Terms do not limit any rights granted to you under local law.

5. Use of the Services

You agree not to:

• Copy, distribute, or reverse engineer the Services.

• Use the Services for unlawful purposes.

• Interfere with or disrupt the Services.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

6. AI Features

Readwell uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate recommendations, summaries, and other content.

• AI outputs are automated and may not always be accurate.

• Content generated by AI is for informational and discovery purposes only.

• You remain responsible for evaluating and choosing the books you read.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Services, including design, software, and content, are owned by Readwell LLC or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Data Protection

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. International Users

We make the Services available globally. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

10. Disclaimers

• The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

• We do not guarantee that recommendations or summaries will meet your expectations.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Readwell disclaims all liability for damages arising from your use of the Services.

11. Limitation of Liability

Where permitted by law, Readwell shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. In regions where limitations are restricted (such as the EU, UK, Australia, or New Zealand), this limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new “Effective Date.”

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, unless local consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
